Slovenia: Hike & Fly - Krasji vrh

When the weather stabilised, Rok and me decided to do some paragliding. Nada and Ana drove us to Planina Zapleč, from where we hiked to Krasji vrh, 1773 m. The top was covered with fog, still we decided to take off. We flew over river Soča to the slopes of Kobariški Stol. Unfortunately, the thermal conditions were not as good as we thought, so we had to land near Nadiža river, just 1 km before our designated place. My wing also fell into the river, so I had to take it out first and then we both had to cross the river and do some more walking to the nearest pub, where we got the lift back to the campsite. Nothing new in the campsite, just some beers and a barbecue.

Foggy top with bad visibility.

Soča river with yesterday's peak, Matajur.

Rok and Krasji vrh in the fog.

Flying over the Soča river.

Nadiža river runs around Mija hill.

Nadiža river was our landing place.

If you land on the wrong side of the river.

Time for barbecue.
