Italy: Cogne Ice Camp, Day 1

Our local alpine section AO Tržič organized a 4 day ice climbing camp in Cogne and a van consisting of 8 people attended.

For our first day we decided to climb something in Lillaz - Valeille valley. With Slavc, we attacked two waterfalls, Attacco Diretto (5+) and Tuborg (4). We simply exaggerated and our mission for the first day failed. It just wasn't our day.

All geared up (and organized) we entered the Lillaz - Valeille valley.

 

Mission to unknown waterfall failed. Unknown became an Attacco Diretto (5+) and that really is too much for the first waterfall of the season, so with Slavc we moved to easier Tuborg (4).

We also gave up in Tuborg (4) and we pronounced the day as mission failed.
