Slovenia: Kačna jama (Snake Cave)
My co-worker Aleš is a professional caver and for a year we wanted to explore one section of for some well-known Kačna jama (Snake Cave). Nina, Ana, Taša and Mitja joined us on this adventure. After minor organizational difficulties at the beginning (forgotten hammer), we descended 180 meters into the cave, where almost flat passages lead you around for almost 15 kilometres (for now). We wanted to explore one part called Comicijev kamin (Comici's Chimney) -
article in Slovene about it. When we got there we realised that some guys beat us, probably last year, so we changed our plans and we just explored the cave as "normal"
tourists. After Aleš cooked some lunch, the most difficult part came on schedule, ascending for 180 m on ropes with lots of gear. After cca 10 hours we were all back on surface and dark but beautiful day was behind us. Big thanks to Aleš for inviting me under the crust.

Since the 180 meters for descent are almost vertical, the light shines all the way to the bottom |

Can we use it to explore the cave? |
