On the last day of Slovenian "Potato Holidays" Aljančič family, Nada and me decided to go to the nearby mountains. Since the kids, Klara, Matic and Tim, still haven't been on any 2000 meters high peak, we had a plan to change that.
We all gathered at 6:45 a.m. and started hiking. After first half an hour Matic and me were much quicker than the others so we left them behind. We quickly advanced and soon we were on Košuta ridge. Matic's first two-thousanderToplar, with exactly 2000 meters of height was quickly conquered. We didn't stay long and we moved on to Veliki vrh, 2088 m, the highest peak today. At the top Matic signed the book and we continued to the East, to our last peak, Kofce gora, 1967 m. There we had a longer break, we fed the yellow-billed choughs and enjoyed the scenery. After a while we descended to Dom na Kofcah mountain hut, 1488 m, where we waited for the rest of the crew. After a drink we all returned very happy back to the valley. All the kids did a great job.
We all warmed up and then Matic and me decided to leave the group.
