Montenegro: Climbing in Boljske Grede, Day 1

Boljske Grede belongs to the southernmost part of Mt Durmitor massif and is long mountain ridge starting from the vast Dobri do and continuing to the south, gradually losing its height. Our mountaineering club AO Tržič decided to accept the invitation from Mali Alpinistički klub (local mountaineering club) and after driving all night and shopping in Nikšić, we arrived to our campsite in Komarnica valley at around 9 a.m.

We introduced to each other and then we set our tents. Soon we were on our way to reconnaissance hike up to Komarnica valley, where we decided what is climbable and what are our plans for tomorrow.

Arrived to our campsite - the last farm in the Komarnica valley

Locals explained to us, what has already been climbed and what can be new routes

Fresh water

Meadow at our endpoint

Čopk thinking about the climbing tomorrow

Many options for climbing

Slovenian team was exhausted from driving

One lucky bastard. Although he was crowing all day and night, he managed to stay alive.
