Slovenia: With AO Tržič to Kukova špica

Alpine section Tržič organized a climbing expedition to Kukova špica, 2427 m, and it was easy enough, so they invited us, trainees, to come along. Kukova špica is a mountain in Martuljek Group and it stands as the first high mountain on the eastern side of the group. It is sharp, rocky pyramid, from Gorenjska plane people often think they're looking at Špik, the most famous cone peak in the group.

We met in Bistrica pri Tržiču at 5:15 a.m. and at 6:00 a.m. we started with the hike from scree called Plaz Črlovec at the altitude 820 m.

After a 2 hours of hiking we left the path and started with easy climbing

Traversing

Climbing became more difficult and we had to use the protection ropes

We successfully reached the top. On the photo Klemen (my co-climber), Domen, Metod and Tuši

Descent was much easier and quicker

View back. We were on the right peak.
