Slovenia: Zelenjak

For today’s hike, Nada, Bronco, and I chose the nearby two-thousander Zelenjak, which lies on the border between Austria and Slovenia. Since we came home late yesterday, we started our hike later than usual. Even so, we made good progress and advanced nicely all the way to the border. The last 50 meters were too steep for Bronco, so I continued alone while Nada and Bronco waited for me. At the summit, I quickly took a few photos, found a geocache, and then returned. After that, it was Nada’s turn to go up, while Bronco and I waited below. Finally, Nada came back as well, and together we returned to the valley - Garmin Connect.

Bronco decided, that the last section was too difficult for him.

Bronco and Nada were waiting for me.

 

Nada took Meri with her to the top.

Sun escaped behind Vrtača, so Bronco and me started descending, knowing that Nada will soon be behind us.

Regrouped.

 

Time to go back home.
