The
Soča Trail of
Triglav National Park is a 25 kilometer hike that starts at the source of the Soča River and ends in the town of
Bovec. All along the way, the stunning turquoise waters of the Soča River is in view as you hike alongside it, cross bridges over it, and even jump into the river itself. Today Nada, Bronco and me joined the Chera Hiking team and together we hiked half of it, from the source of the Soča river to Camp Jelinc near Small and Big Troughs. Easy hike, great company and a lot of laughing, as always with Chera Hiking.

After the start, a small portion of the trail follows the main road. |
|
Carefully across the bridge. |
Mlinarica, a raging stream, carved a kilometer-long and hundred-meter-deep gorge, which narrows into a unique trough before the confluence with the Soča. There is an 8 meter high waterfall at the mouth. |
Since we were not in a hurry, we refreshed ourselves in the cold water. |
|
Friend along our way. |
|
Education time somewhere above Trenta village. |
|
Another stop along the way. |
After the break, we received a nice portion of rain, still the morale remained on the highest level.
The hike for the day one was over (Garmin Connect) and we continued with various activities. Nina prepared a nice dinner and along the fire we continued saving the world.
