Italy: Sassongher, Cindr, Unknown Peak and Col de la Sone
After we woke up in the highest campground in the Dolomites, we drove to
Colfosco, where we parked our vehicles. Soon we started hiking along the
ski-piste and we followed the signs for
Sassongher, 2665 m. Since we reached the peak in less than 2 hours, we prolonged our trip, first to a less known peak called Cindr, 2615 m, then to another one, just a few hundred meters away with an altitude of 2635 m, whom the name is unknown. The last peak was a pyramid called Col de la Sone, 2633 m, and then we headed for the
Puez Hut, where we had a break. Due to the cold, we didn't stay long and we started returning back to the starting point.

Towards the steep rock faces. |

Just rocks and grass. |

Towards our mountain, Sassongher. |
Jože had a good pace, so we simply followed him. |
On the saddle below Sassongher, where you have many options, where to go next. |
Peaks around Para da Giai, 2503 m, North from our path. |
And here it is, our first peak. |
The clouds were closing the sky, so I quickly made a photo of the valley below us. |
Conquered Sassongher, 2665 m. |

The clouds were following us and obstructing the view. |
View from Cindr, our 2nd peak with one of our next peaks. |
I quickly jumped on the nearby 3rd peak, where I found a geocache, still I couldn't found the name of the summit. |
Straight towards the pyramid. |
To cold for swimming. |

Col de la Sone, 2633 m. |

Happy hikers. |
View to Vallunga - Langental. |
View to the empty lake and Sassongher on our way back to the valley. |
Well deserved beer at the end of our hiking trip. |
Back at the campsite we started cooking. |

Talks with the fire. |
Geocaches found:

GC3T0GA, where I took the trackable item "Filmmusik",
