Slovenia: 1st Botrčkov pohod - Godfather's Hike

My godfather passed away last year in nearby mountains and today, on the 1st anniversary, I decided to to a hike in his memory and Nada joined me. He loved nature and since he probably knew all the trails around our village, we decided to do a hike on less walked and unmarked trails. Cheers Slavc!

Near the creek Tominčev potok we left the trail. View to Črni Gozd turned up.

The best-known salamander species in Europe.

At first we were able to follow tractor trails.

Time to go straight up.

In 2016 we planted around 450 trees here (13484). They are slowly growing.

Nada turned on 4 wheel drive.

200 vertical meters on this terrain wasn't so easy.

Foggy exit.

View to the centre of the village Podljubelj and Šentanski vrh.

Following the ridge.

On one of the small peaks on the ridge.

Found Primula auricula or mountain cowslip or bear's ear growing on the rock.

Obstacles.

End of the ridge is near.

Arrived on Čisovec, 1418 m, which was the highest point of the day.

We spent some time with Slavc and then we moved on. Cheers!

Step descent.
