Slovenia: Ratitovec

Ratitovec is a mountain ridge with many peaks and with Nada we decided to conquer 2 of them. Our hike started from Prtovč and we followed  the trail straight to Kosmati vrh, 1643 m. Soon we continued to most popular peak called Gladki vrh, 1667 m, and from there we descended to a nearby Krekova koča na Ratitovcu mountain hut, 1642 m. The hut is named after Janez Evangelist Krek, a Slovene Christian Socialist politician, priest, journalist, and author. After a quick refreshment we returned back to our starting point.

Useless hands. Still, the legs work fine.

The spectacle of green leaves turning rich reds and yellows in autumn happens when trees have taken all the food they can from the leaves that are filled with chlorophyll - the biomolecule that absorbs energy from sunlight and gives leaves their green colour.

Saturday hike with Nada - Garmin Connect

After the trip we had a fish lunch in the fishing lodge near Žeje ponds.
