Slovenia: Backcountry skiing - Vrh Ljubeljščice, New Year's Eve on Roblekov dom

In the morning I decided to to the last backcountry skiing tour this year and once again I chose the nearby Vrh Ljubeljščice, 1704 m.

In the afternoon it was time for hiking. We had to reach the mountain hut, where we decided to spend new year's eve. At 16:30 Tina, Nada, Gašper, Rok and me met in Draga and we started hiking towards Roblekov dom na Begunjščici mountain hut. On our way we made a quick beer stop on Tomčeva koča na Poljški planini mountain hut, 1180 m. After 2 hours we reached our destination and the party began. Slovenian music, home made food, heaps of beer, fireworks, dancing and other things were on this evening.

• Did 12 flights with paraglider, as promised to myself last year, went to work 121 times with kick scooter (from Ljubljana to Trzin)

More backcountry skiing and mountain biking as previous year, but on the other hand much less hiking

Slovenia / Italy / Austria: Hike to Peč, Icy Kingdom

For today, Nada and me decided to conquer a new peak. We chose an easy one, on the West side of the Karawanks, called Peč or Tromeja (tripoint). We started in Slovenia in Rateče, continued a bit in Italy and we finished in Austria, from where we reached our tripoint Peč. After a photo session we descended back to Rateče, this time only on Slovenian soil.

In the evening we visited the Icy Kingdom in Mojstrana, where we visited the live Christmas nativity scene, where the actors wear crampons and the Holy Child is surrounded by frozen waterfalls.

Slovenia: Hike to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut

Another beautiful day in Slovenia and with Nada we decided to spend it outdoors. We did a short hike to local Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut, 1370 m.

Slovenia: 5th traditional hike to Kriška gora

Before New Year, Klemen, Dejan and me decided to go to our 5th traditional before New Year's eve hike. Since the hut on top of Kriška gora was open this year, we didn't hesitate. This year Matej joined us and together we all had a great day with an awesome hike, cold beer and tasty food.

Slovenia: Backcountry Skiing - Viševnik

Snow conditions were good so we decided to conquer Viševnik, two-thousander in Julian Alps. Lovro, Grega and me attacked it with skis, while Nada and Alenka went hiking. Cold and windy weather with low visibility didn't scare us and we all managed to reach our goals.

Slovenia: Exploring Podljubelj "Paths"

For Christmas Nada and me decided to explore some new paths in our village Podljubelj. Our main goal was to see the local Bela Peč (White Furnace) from the vicinity, from below. On our way we also crossed many local peaks like Kal, Na Vršiču and Krogovnek.

Slovenia: Backcountry Skiing & Sledding

Nada's cousin Nastja visited us today and together we explored the snow areas around our home. When Nastja and Nada visited the slopes of Zelenica, I made a backcountry skiing trip to Hajnževo sedlo, 1704 m. In the evening we all went sledding to Ljubelj Pass.
