Slovenia / Austria: Tourennacht am Dreiländereck #03 with GeoCaching


Today was reserved for GeoCaching. The main thing was an event called "Tourennacht am Dreiländereck #03", organized by a member dr.gumpi, but to get there we did many things.

In the morning I took Nada to Škofja Loka and since I was still early, I picked up a couple of GeoCaches there. At 10 a.m. I joined Jani and Roman and together we drove to Podklošter, where our team became completed with Jure. Together we searched for caches till 5 p.m., when the event started. Tourennacht am Dreiländereck was a backcountry skiing event, where we ascended to the hut (Dreiländereck Bergrestaurant), had a typical geocaching chat with a beer, picked up a few FTFs on our way down and said goodbye with another brew. Special thanks to dr.gumpi for organizing, homebrew and some photos.

Climbing Spot Kamnitnik was named after the hill on which it is located. At the time of Yugoslavia, this was a military area, so the approach to walls wasn't possible.

This former mill (Vešter Mill) was used as partisan bunker during the Second World War. It was burned down by German forces on 8 February 1944
