Our sport and cultural society ŠKD Indijanci went on a thirteenth morning hike (17th overall). Our destinations were
Križna gora, 680 m, and
Planica, 824 m. Our starting point was
Škofja Loka and the returning
Crngrob. Although the
Slovenian Environment Agency announced the red alert for the country, due to extreme weather conditions, we didn't give up and we started with our planned hike. We all came back safe and sound.

One of the rare signs on our today hike |
We had to climb through and over the broken trees, that were still falling down because of the glaze ice.
|
The top of Križna gora, according to Garmin. The church of Saint Cross is located a little bit to the South. |
|
Towards our second destination |
|
Church of St. Archangel Gabriel on top of Planica |
|
Grega, Vlado, Nada and Tuši |
|
Clumsy? No no, someone tripped her. |
|
So many churches today. This one is dedicated to the Annunciation. |
ŠKD Indijanci - Hike #17
Unfortunately some parts of
Slovenia are still suffering the consequences of
glazed ice. Click on
THIS link, to see some amazing photos and what the nature is capable of doing. Our city
Postojna was back in ice age for a couple of days.
