Slovenia: Hike & Fly - Vrh Ljubeljščice

In the afternoon I joined my friends from Chera Hiking on Zelnica mountain hut and together we went to Via Ferrata. I chose the easy one to the top of Spodnji Plot. After the group photo I took my glider and went home. Quick and simple.

At the entrance to the Via ferrata.

We took the left, easiest route, while some took the right one.

CroatiaLenny Kravitz

Blue Electric Light is the twelfth studio album by American rock musician Lenny Kravitz and he presented it on Blue Electric Light Tour 2024. He stopped also in Pula and since Nada and me liked this venue, we decided to see it.

We arrived to Pula yesterday (16508), spend the night wild camping and then we spent the day on the shore. Swimming, boating, geocaching, eating and sunbathing was on the menu before the concert. In the evening we met with our friends Mojca and Damjan and together we enjoyed the show. We were entertained by 18 played songs and we all went to bed happy.

Sunrise on the beach.

Good morning.

Time to wake up with a morning swim.

Nada and Tuši.

Let's do some exploring with the boat.

My plan was to go around islands Kozada and Sveti Jerolim.

The boat started to leak, so I left Nada on the shore and I continued, stopping from time to time to fill the air.

We attended the concert in Pula Arena with Mojca and Damjan.

We like the Pula Arena, since it is quite a small venue.

Jas Kayser was the drummer. She rocked.

Slovenia: Showering Karla and Čevljar Baron

Our car needed to be cleaned up and the best person to do this is my friend Pija, so I took her to his place, where we had some beers and he made her clean again. Thanks!

In the evening, Nada and me went to Studenec pri Krtini, where the summer theater is. Like 8 years ago (Čarlijeva teta - 13608), we went to see one of the local plays. Some info about it:

Rudolf Hahn, the author of the theatrical play with singing The Shoemaker Baron - Der Schusterbaron - Čevljar Baron, wrote this comedy in German. The text was translated by Jakob Alešovec, a writer, playwright, satirist and journalist. Alešovec, born in Skaručna near Ljubljana, was also supposed to be a shoemaker, as his parents wanted, but with the help of benefactors, he managed to finish the folk school in Kamnik and continue his education in Ljubljana. The text of the comedy came into the hands of Alojz Stražar a quarter of a century ago. He found the play interesting and suitable for performance on the Studenec stage. The staging at the time was a success, so it is no coincidence that it is coming to the Studenec stage again, as part of the 24th Cultural Summer Festival Studenec. With an adaptation of the text, rehearsals and mostly other actors and singers, the performance came to life anew. This time, the music was signed by Slavko Avsenik Jr.

The story takes place at the end of the 18th century, when barons still owned castles and mansions. With a bit of nostalgia, the sight of a small shoemaker's workshop with a pleasant smell of pitch and resin took many viewers back to their youthful days - to the harder, but still beautiful times. Twenty-six years ago, at the time of the first performance, there were still quite a few shoemaking workshops in the country and in the towns, but today there is only a small one here and there, which serves for small repairs.

Slovenia: MTB - Celovška koča mountain hut and Ressnig Teich

For Chera hiking group and ŠD Podljubelj I organised mountain biking trip to Celovška koča mountain hut. 9 people joined the party and we started from Ferlacher Badesee along the river Drava to Bistrica v Rožu, where we started ascending to the hut in through the Rute (Bärental ) valley. On the way back we visited Gorše Gallery in Sveče (Suetschach) and we finished the day at lake Ressnig Teich - Garmin Connect.

Going up.

Finally at our destination.

My group: Elvis, Andreja, Janez, Tuši, Kristina, Jernej, Aleš and in first row Nada and Sabina and Mateja.

Goodbye Celovška koča mountain hut.

On the way back we visited Gorše Gallery in Sveče.

In the Vrbnik Garden, the artist installed pillars (steles) featuring the heads of Carinthian cultural figures who contributed to the cultural development and preservation of Slovene identity. Among them are: the "father of Carinthian Slovenes" Andrej Einspieler, the bookman Andrej Šuster Drabosnjak, Milka Hartman, Bishop Modest, Anton Martin Slomšek, Pavlej Kernjak, and a particularly beautiful bronze sculpture – a self-portrait of the artist.

Along the river Drava we returned back and then we rested along the lake.
